Gartner Suggests Ways to Migrate Applications to Cloud There are five ways by which organizations can move applications into the cloud, according to research firm Gartner. The first option is to rehost or redeploy applications to a different hardware environment and change the application’s infrastructure configuration. Second option is to refactor or run applications on a cloud provider’s infrastructure. Organizations can also use the third option -revise, i.e. modify or extend the existing code base to support legacy modernization requirements. Amazon.com Acquires CLOUD.CO Domain Name Online retailer Amazon.com has acquired the registration rights to the single letter domain names A.CO, K.CO and Z.CO and also to the premium reserved domain name Cloud.CO. This announcement was made yesterday by the official domain registry for the .CO domain, .CO Internet S.A.S., which signed an agreement with Amazon.com to this end. Both partners have not disclosed the terms of the acquisition. According to .CO Registry, it intends to announce additional high profile domain name deals in the coming months.
