BMC Software and Unisys Team on Delivering Cloud Solutions
BMC Software and Unisys have signed a joint initiative to deliver and manage advanced cloud solutions by drawing on their complementary strengths. The companies claim that their solutions will make clients’ IT organizations more responsive and efficient in delivering business services. This collaboration will enable customers to realize both immediate and long-term business value by addressing strategy, planning, design, implementation and operational management of cloud computing solutions.
The combined BMC and Unisys offering has already been implemented by a Spanish bank, La Caixa. This organization transformed its data center, embraced cloud computing and streamlined its IT services by deploying the combined BMC and Unisys offering.
The joint solutions are based on BMC’s second-generation Cloud Lifecycle Management (CLM) offering combined with Unisys’ comprehensive cloud advisory, implementation and management services portfolio.

Part of BMC’s Dynamic Business Service Management (BSM) platform, BMC’s cloud management portfolio can take cloud computing from a pilot technology to a core, business-critical IT service.
The joint solution also draws on Unisys Converged Remote Infrastructure Management Suite, which provides integrated, “single pane” management of clients’ multi-vendor infrastructures.
