Managing Cisco QoS with Cloud-Based Applications
ActionPacked! Networks is sponsoring a free one hour online training session on March 16 to help network engineers understand how to apply QoS to their cloud-based applications.
This session titled “Managing Cisco QoS with Cloud-Based Applications” will feature real-world examples of popular cloud applications and will be presented by ActionPacked Systems Engineer and voice expert David McDaniel, CCIE #20501.
The class will cover several topics including an overview of different cloud-based applications and how they interoperate with the network, things to consider when implementing QoS with cloud-based applications, step-by-step methodology for configuring QoS for cloud-based applications and tools and methods for monitoring, troubleshooting and optimizing QoS settings.
Those attending the event will receive the ActionPacked! Networks white paper “Is Your Network Ready for the Cloud?” They will also receive a free trial version of the company’s LiveAction software.
It is not that difficult to migrate to third-party cloud applications, according to McDaniel who noted that this move does not require complex retooling of an enterprise’s QoS environment.
Management of QoS with cloud applications becomes easy if businesses understand how these services work and know how to optimize their network around them.
“Even in its early stages, the growing trend towards using the cloud for mission-critical enterprise applications is definitely affecting the way network engineers have to deal with QoS,” said ActionPacked! Founder Nelson Kanemoto. “Many of our customers and partners have asked us to help them understand the impact third party cloud-based services will have on their QoS policies and what they should do to ensure the highest quality user experience.”
